Lonny BOUCHARD - Lonny is a partner with X-BOSS and his experience allows a keen insight into the BC provincial health and safety regulator. For more than 13 years, Lonny has formed numerous positive relationships at and held a number of titles while working for WorkSafeBC.
During his 13 year career at WorkSafeBC these titles included Team Leader Supervisor, Fatal and Serious Injury Investigations, Investigating Occupational Safety Officer, Fatal and Serious Injury Investigations, Occupational Safety Officer, Prevention Field Services and Industry Specialist (Construction Focus), Industry and Labour Services. Lonny is comfortable on site and in the boardroom.
Prior to working at WorkSafeBC Lonny was a reinforcing steel Ironworker foreman who has worked on many large projects in Vancouver, Whistler, Surrey, New Westminster and Pt, Coquitlam. These include Waterfront Center, Wall Centre 1 and 2, Whistler Village Plaza and many more.
Lonny left the trades and earned a diploma of technology in occupational health and safety from the the school of health sciences, at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2005. Lonny also has a certificate in enforcement and investigation skills from the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
Lonny is qualified in advanced investigations techniques and major case management.
Paul ORR - Paul is a partner with X-BOSS and has a wide-range of construction, industrial safety and management experience. His background started as a Combat Engineer with the Canadian Armed Forces where he spent a 22-year career working or managing heavy construction projects throughout the arctic, Canada and internationally.
These projects included road, bridge, steel frame and airfield construction. Paul has extensive experience in heavy equipment and specialized in explosive demolitions. On retirement from the military, Paul was immediately hired by WorkSafeBC; the Provincial regulator for occupational health and safety.
During his 23-year career with WorkSafeBC he has held various positions including Provincial Blasting Coordinator, an Occupational Safety Officer, and as Team Supervisor and occasional Manager with the specialized Fatal & Serious Injury Investigation unit.
Paul is an internationally certified fire and explosion investigator and possesses a very strong knowledge of industrial health and safety and is qualified in advanced investigations techniques and major case management.
Brent FARNSWORTH - Brent is a partner with X-BOSS and has a wide-range of general industry, construction, and management safety experience. His background started in sheet metal where he spent 12 years, first as an apprentice, then becoming a qualified journeyman and progressing into a partner in the family sheet metal business.
Brent had a 29-year career with WorkSafeBC before retiring in 2017. He joined in 1988 as a Sheet Metal Instructor in the Rehabilitation Clinic working with and assisting injured workers in their recovery from workplace accidents.
After two years he became an Occupational Safety Officer and conducted work site inspections, accident investigations safety program audits and countless safety presentations in a variety of industrial settings.
In 2004 Brent joined the newly formed Fatal & Serious Injury Investigation unit as an investigator, and then became a Team Supervisor and occasional Manager. Brent has extensive training and experience in advanced accident investigation techniques and major case management.
